And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.Job Summary:West is seeking a Finance Senior Manager of Environmental, Social, and Governance ("ESG"). This will be a newly created position within the Finance Department, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Assistant Controller. This role will have responsibility for ensuring that all ESG related reporting requirements in the U.S. and internationally are prepared in compliance with the respective reporting framework and submitted on a timely basis, completely and accurately. The initial focus of the role is the development and implementation of West's global ESG reporting strategy, related processes, and controls environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of West's ESG financial reporting, inclusive of our materiality assessments;Have a deep understanding of the various ESG reporting frameworks, inclusive of the SEC, CSRD, and ISSB;Oversee the design and implementation of internal controls over sustainability reporting, working closely with our cross-functional teams of ESG, HR, and Operations to develop robust processes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of our ESG data;Proactively identify ESG related reporting issues, risks, opportunities, and trends that may impact the Company and stay abreast of new developments in climate reporting frameworks and regulations;From an accounting perspective, make sure that the Company has a complete understanding of any ESG related taxes or tariffs that may be applied in each if our locations in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America;Liaison with our IT department to determine a proper ESG software application to be rolled out;Assist in the preparation of materials to be provided to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors, providing regular updates on our ESG journey and status tracker compared to our timeline;Develop and maintain a strong relationship with internal and external auditors and provide oversight to the annual audit process as defined for each audit cycle;Perform peer analyses and identify benchmarking indicators;Serve as an advisor and liaison between Controllership, Sustainability, Legal, Investor Relations and various other business functions to provide leadership and guidance to advance the Company's ESG strategy while delivering timely and accurate reporting;Prepare and present training to business partners, such as training the Sustainability group on control requirements and audit standards;Basic Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent experience.Certifications: active CPA license encouragedExperience: 6-8 years experience; preferable to have started in public accounting and coming directly from private industry experience in multinational manufacturing companies with ESG knowledge.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley 404Experience with SAP preferredAbility to work effectively with teams and manage multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlinesEffective functional and technical knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills, and a strong team playerAbility to work on multiple complex projects and bring those projects to successful conclusionDemonstrated success in working across multiple levels of the organization including senior leadershipStrong problem-solving skillsAble to comply with the company's safety policy at all timesTravel Requirements:Limited travel expected - 5-10%Physical & Mental Requirements:Position operates in a professional office environment.
