  JOB TITLE: Sr. Manager, EH&S – IH&S

  REPORTING TO: VP of Operations – IH&S

  LOCATION: West Henrietta, NY

  ITAR/EAR CRITERIA:

  These positions may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident.

  SCOPE OF ROLE:

  The Sr. Manager, EH&S will lead strategy for all of EH&S across IH&S by integrating knowledge of current industry best practices with broad understanding of industrial Sustainability and Safety. Serves an essential role in leading, partnering and supporting business driven technical and strategic initiatives in alignment with the overall operating plan. This position will be based at the West Henrietta, NY facility and will be heavily involved in the EH&S activities there, but will also have a strong focus on Environmental and Health, including sustainability, across all IH&S sites.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  Maintain an environment where safety is our top priority

  Develop and implement strategic direction for EH&S strategies aligned with the IDEX priorities while harmonizing across IH&S where it makes sense

  Guiding both direct and dotted line EH&S team members to key priorities

  Ensuring that priorities are clear, focused and visible

  Develop and maintain a culture where facts and data are used to make decisions and continuous improvement is a way of life

  Regulatory Reporting (e.g., DEC, OSHA, Fire Department, FM Global)

  Create a roadmap for Sustainability priorities and maintain effective visibility and reporting

  Contract Management (consultants, etc.)

  Site Permits and Compliance Planning

  Facility Management Systems

  Tennant / Landlord Contracts

  Building & grounds management

  Utility management & Emergency Response

  Strategic Building Improvement Projects

  Vendor Management (e.g., electric, HVAC, Fire detection services)

  Administration (staff, budgets)

  Specific Examples of Reporting, Manifest Generation, or Contract Management:

  Air Emissions reporting including vendor chemical trade secret support

  Hazardous Chemical Inventory reporting

  Pesticide Contract

  Solid Waste reporting/manifest

  Recycling Agreements and reports

  Spill Prevention & Control management

  Stormwater reporting and pollution fee agreement

  Toxic Release Inventory reporting

  Wastewater reporting

  California hazardous waste reporting

  Compliance Reporting (energy credits)

  Security contracts

  Annual Sprinkler assessments and reporting

  Fire Alarm system testing and reporting

  Refrigerant tracking and leak reporting

  Other: Sustainability/ESG reporting

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering or equivalent

  10 or more years related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an EH&S focus

  Some travel, both domestic and international, required

  Demonstrated understanding of local, federal, and state regulations

  Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy EH&S programs in a manufacturing environment

  Strong collaboration, communication, training, and coaching skills

  Ability to influence behavioral change

  Knowledge of worker’s compensation processes and practices

  OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  Training as a first-responder or EMT/paramedic is not required but strongly preferred

  Industry certifications are not required, but strongly preferred

  This position is a site-based role.

  Total Rewards

  The compensation range for this position is $94,600.00 - $141,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
