Job Description Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People Leader to manage a growing team of asset protections services subject matter experts and engineers focusing on securing our PC/Mac endpoints as well as on-prem and cloud compute environments. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive, security and threat tooling that is delivered to GE Aerospace endpoints. Your primary focus will be endpoint detection and response tooling globally.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Utilize your technical expertise, industry knowledge, and competitive intelligence to conceive, evaluate, design, and deliver superior security services.
Collaboration: Identify opportunities for collaboration across the enterprise, ensuring cross-team commitments are established, and leverage the capabilities of your team to achieve scale in security efforts.
Problem Solving: Navigate through ambiguity and prioritize conflicting demands, defining, and resolving issues even outside your direct responsibilities to ensure the success of the security service.
Technical Project Leadership: Lead technical projects aimed at enhancing the security posture of our end-user and compute devices.
Automation: Seek opportunities to automate manual processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security assessments.
Technology Road mapping: Collaborate with external vendors and industry standards to create and execute technology roadmaps that align with business needs. Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with business leaders, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Team Management: Take responsibility for the management of employees, contractors, and talent transformation within your team.
Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in the technology space, aligning solution capabilities, compliance, engineering, and operational excellence with the business need and roadmap.
Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to ensure the extensibility of endpoint security services and capabilities, developing and delivering on committed outcomes.
Communication and Vendor Management: Create internal and external communications, drive issue resolution, and manage vendor relationships and contracts.
Documentation: Ensure the creation, review, and maintenance of current technical documentation related to security assessments.
Solution Identification: Drive solution identification, feasibility analysis, and implementation recommendations for engineering and operational efforts. Simplification: Lead simplification efforts to improve the speed and quality of operations, proactively identifying new technologies, configurations, engineering, or processes to address systemic issues.
Independence and Communication: Exhibit the ability to work independently when necessary and communicate technical concepts and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical peers and management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 16 years of professional experience.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT.
Note: Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
