The Biosciences Division (BID) , a $5B+ division within LSG, includes Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Protein and Cell Analysis, Sample Prep business units. Position Objective:
The Sr. Channel Manager is part of the Commercial Organization of the Biosciences Division (BID) representing the EMEA region, is a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the go-to-market strategy, development, execution, and results across all channels and solution-based customer programs. The Sr. Channel Manager is responsible for the entire Biosciences portfolio - Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Protein Cell Analysis and Sample Prep - developing and implementing tactics to achieve financial targets. This position has responsibility for specific Channel(s) growth goals for BID products and leverages along with the BID leadership team activities in new product launches, industry segment strategies, key accounts and field partnership activities. The scope includes establishing and leading processes to support execution with Channel partners. The ability to supervise, analyze, and respond to changes in business performance is fundamental. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with intensity, has an excellent work ethic and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
How will you make an impact?
By delivering profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction via RSD for the BID portfolio.
By defining, in close connection with the BID Leadership team strategies to optimize RSD’s product access, marketing focus and sales effectiveness in clearly identified vertical markets, primarily Academia, Biopharma and Industry
By working with Marketing to advertise our solutions through RSD, with sales operations to analyze relevant KPI on initiatives to improve performance.
By focusing on tactical initiative to drive sales through RSD with tailored tactics in specific geographies
The position reports to the BID EMEA Commercial Leader and works in close collaboration with the European Regional Commercial Leaders, Technical Sales Leader, the Sales Operation Management team, and the EMEA Marketing team.
What will you do?
Responsible for developing and implementing the European channel strategy, processes, and programs to deliver attainment of revenue, profitability and share gain objectives for BID
Drive overall RSD revenues in EMEA for BID portfolio and NPI revenue to meet/exceed annual targets.
Demonstrate strong leadership in identifying cross divisional growth opportunities.
Reporting regularly and helping the BID Leaders to forecast our performance.
Monitoring the RSD performance thought regular, concise, and action-oriented business reviews, with special focus on the top growth opportunities.
Ensure that the RSD product knowledge is up to date, working with the EMEA marketing team to provide product trainings and leverage NPI to foster the commitment of the RSD account managers.
Work closely with BID commercial teams including regional management, commercial management, marketing, sales management to identify regional and product level initiatives to increase sales of BID products through RSD
Identify innovative and creative ways to protect and gain share in core business along with accelerating performance in fast growing market.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Comfortable working in a matrix environment, taking care of several partners with differing priorities.
Must be results oriented and able to work autonomously on projects spanning more than one quarter.
Ability to make data driven decisions and to process opinions from different perspectives.
Ability to multitask, be organized & be able to prioritize.
Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of PPI tools is required.
Experience
Direct and channel commercial experience in laboratory sciences or related field and/or sales leadership in relevant segments (pharma, biotech, academia).
Experience in working with commercial support functions such as field/regional marketing, sales operations, commercial excellence is a plus.
The individual should have a strong track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Experience of working in a heavily matrixed environment is preferable. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with an extreme sense of urgency, has an excellent work ethic and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Education
Ideally degree educated in a Life Sciences discipline.
