About Sr Manager, Air Mobility, O'Fallon IL

Description: This individual serves as the Lockheed Martin interface with the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) and U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM). Located in O’Fallon, this position reports to the Director, Air Mobility AFSOC, Air Force F-35 Team, LMGA in Arlington (Crystal City), VA. The selected candidate will develop and maintain close relationships with AMC and TRANSCOM senior leadership, coordinate and synchronize engagements and communications between Lockheed Martin business areas, USAF and Joint customers, and provide strategic insight to foster corporate growth and positive customer relations. This individual works on-site at the O’Fallon office and travel occasionally within the U.S. to conferences and trade shows, customer meetings, and corporate activities.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

- Serving as the initial/primary POC and subject matter expert on Lockheed Martin products and services for local customers

- Providing assessments to inform corporate business interests and strategies

- Monitoring and analyzing state and local legislative and regulatory issues

- Liaising with business, professional and community organizations

- Assessing the local competitive landscape

- Cultivating relationships across Lockheed Martin business areas and corporate functions

- Managing daily operations and maintenance of the O’Fallon, IL office

- This position is onsite 4 days per week (subject to change)

Basic Qualifications:

- 10+ years’ experience with AMC/TRANSCOM

- Operational air refueling/ air mobility experience

- Joint/Air Mobility experience

- Knowledge of USAF acquisitions processes

- Knowledge of Scott AFB’s mission, responsibilities and processes

- Critical understanding of Air Force Operations and Budgeting

- Polished staff skills including writing, speaking, presenting, and critical thinking

- Highly developed customer interaction skills

- SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

- Experience on the Air Mobility Command staff with extensive staff relationships

- Experience with next-generation Air Mobility platform requirements

- Master’s degree or equivalent

- Acquisition, requirements development, programming/budgeting or test experience

- TS/SCI clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
