Position Description:

　　Sr. IT Developer–Test Automation for Medtronic, Inc., Minneapolis, MN. Provide software systems expertise in the medical device manufacturing environment for quality enhancement and yield improvement. Develop system solutions and custom tools to maintain medical product Device History Records (DHRs) and reporting tools to drive improvement of production yields. Responsible for business process definition, business process improvement, requirements definition gathering, and technology solution feasibility studies. Work on converting business requirements into system specifications, functional specifications, and technical specifications for software system functionality enhancements. Work to extract critical data from Oracle and Structured Query Language (SQL) database using software tools including Toad and Spotfire. Coordinate the development of Web Applications using Java, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Spring, Hibernate, HTML5, JavaScript, Automation, and Windows Application. Utilize Waterfall and Agile SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) methodologies. Utilize web services technologies including Java API for XML (JAX-WS) and Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) relating to develop and implement Simple Open Access Protocols (SOAP) and Representational State Transfer (REST). Work with various Java Technologies to include core JAVA, JSP (Java Server Page), JBoss 7.1 Application Server, servlets, JDBC (Java Database Connection). Utilize FACTORY-works, JD Edwards (JDE), and SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products). *Position permits telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. #LI-DNI

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related IT field and two (2) years of experience as a software developer or related occupation in software testing in a regulated industry; or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related IT field and five (5) years of experience as a software developer or related occupation in software testing in a regulated industry.

　　Must possess at least (2) two years’ experience with each of the following: Business process definition, business process improvement, requirements definition gathering, and technology solution feasibility studies; Converting business requirements into system specifications, functional specifications, and technical specifications for software system functionality enhancements; Extracting data from Oracle and SQL database using software tools Toad and Spotfire; Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, HTML5, JavaScript, Automation, and Windows Application; Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies; JAX-WS and JAX-RS,SOAP, and REST; JSP, JBoss 7.1 Application Server, servlets, and Java Database Connection; FACTORY-works, JD Edwards, and SAP.
