The Senior HR Generalist is the "go-to" HR Partner on all matters associated with the HR function at the site level, including employee relations, employee life cycle management (hiring, onboarding, performance, offboarding), training, communications, discipline, employee engagement, benefits, workers compensation, and HR projects. This role also supports a number of remote/corporate employees as well.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the HR functionComplete and handle actions associated with the employee life cycleMaintain close contact with the HR team and business operations teamAssist with recruitment tasks as needed (e.g. interviews)Coach, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of employee disciplinary actionsSupport corporate initiatives (i.e. DEI, wellbeing initiatives, attendance) Drive people processes to ensure that employees meet current and future standardsParticipate and/or manage specific projects as determined in the HR planning processEnsure cyclical processes are completed timely (goalsetting, performance reviews, engagement survey)Support line management in forecasting and planning talent pipeline requirementsEducation, Experience and SkillsBachelor's degree in a related field (required)3-5 years of HR generalist work experience in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of employment laws, principles, and practicesAbility to independently problem-solveStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including ExcelExperience with HRIS and payroll systems and reportingStrong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, teamwork, presentation, resource management, project management (from conception to completion) and planning skillsPHR or SPHR certification helpfulExperience with AI is helpfulTop Focus AreasBuilding relationships with the business, including the HR team (remote), operations (on-site), and production employees (on-site; all shifts).
