Your role at Clorox:
A Senior Financial Analyst within the Burt’s Bees SBU at Clorox is responsible for total P&L reporting and analytics and works closely with cross-functional partners and Finance leadership to develop the financial forecast and understand results.
In this role, you will:
Own total P&L forecast and close consolidation as well as directly owning Revenue and select TDC/Admin accounts for the annual budget, subsequent plan updates, gap management activities, and all month and quarter closes.
Analyzing variances to the prior forecast, and year ago to tell the business story and identifying opportunities to drive value.
Completing close activities for the Business Unit, which include ensuring the accounting is performed in accordance with corporate guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Owning the Business Unit Volume/Mix/Assortment analysis, working closely with Sales, Planning, and Marketing to understand drivers of volume forecast.
Leading the Business Unit business' financial cycles (close, forecast, gap), including the completion of financial packages for close and forecast by coordinating inputs and due dates.
Driving category profitability by positively influencing key stakeholders to make sound financial decisions and providing insights to leadership on the drivers of the SBUs financial performance.
Proactively identifying issues/obstacles affecting profitable growth and creating/recommending sound mitigation plans that contain an objective and balanced point of view.
Independently lead ad hoc requests and be a resource for strategic initiatives.
Ability to design and deliver effective presentations, tailoring communication to specific audience and anticipate their issues and questions.
Effectively communicate complex ideas clearly to stake holders, acting as the voice of Finance during meetings with cross functional partners.
What we look for:
Experience:
3 + years of background knowledge in accounting and finance; other cost / forecast experience is a plus
3 + years in a similar position on finance (Analyzing variances to the budget, prior updates, identifying opportunities for creating value) etc.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
Strong Excel skills and proficient in systems including BW, Essbase and SAP.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
