The Opportunity
This position works out of our Queretaro site in Mexico in EP Division.
In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Finance Sr. Specialist you’ll work to integrate and maintain quality systems in Querétaro in Assist in the financial activities within the site operations, including annual strategy and operating plans, quarterly reports, and special requests. Drive financial analysis to a high level of automation with databases that show key information daily for the decision making. This role is intended to work independently on the leadership within Querétaro for all-across application of the system and may have supervision responsibilities of direct reports within quality systems organization.
What You’ll Do
Operational Business Support - Procedures, analizing and reporting results, support Managers in the monetary spending overhead analysis and budget control).
Budget / Forecasting - Active participation in the preparation of the annual manufactoring budget plan. Coordinate the collection of information and analyze and summarize the necessary data for the timely preparation or quaterly forecast.
Fixed Assets (Review all CapEx request ensuring compliance, accounting treatment, and necessary backup information, follow-up in construction in progress project, others)
Closing / Reporting - Participate in the closing month end process, reviews spending account accurancy and propose necessary accruals, analyze financial performance, provide feedback to the Business.
Participate actively in the SAP rollout, identify opportunities to stablish good automation in ERP process, ensure local customizations to fullfill tax complaince.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor in Finance, Accounting. Recommendable Master degree within the health industry
4-5 years’ experience in similar position .
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
100% English language knowledge
Work in site.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of General Accounting
