　　Job Summary:

　　Mechanical Systems & Externals Engineering is seeking a Product Definition Design Analyst to support military engine programs. The job will entail more complex design assist support, model based definition creation/guidance and checking of less proficient members as well as some mentoring less experienced Product Definition team members.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Designing and defining of assembly drawings based on layouts, sketches and blueprints.

　　Perform general design tasks, including modeling for analysis and manufacturing of hardware as well as coordinating integration with customers for interfaces.

　　Perform and/or oversee all aspects of PD engineering standard work throughout Preliminary Design, Detail Design, and Verification/Validation

　　Ensure accuracy and adherence to Product Definition Standard Processes in the communication of Design Intent through Senior Design Drafting duties which includes:

　　Understand, apply and interpret Geometric Form Control to ASME Y14.5M- standards

　　Create / review parametric 3D models and other definition files to Design intent and Product Definition standard work using the UGS NX graphics software

　　Responsible to review model/print files (using the UGS NX graphics software) meeting Product Definition standard work which includes the application of tolerancing techniques per part family Engineering Standard Work while considering producibility and design intent

　　Create/package files/documentation and engineering change release documentation using the UGS Teamcenter software

　　Mentor lower proficiency level practitioners

　　Travel: 2%

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Associates degree in related field (Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent). In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience in design or product definition.

　　The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Record of professional leadership characteristics such as team leading/team building, interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.

　　Demonstrated commitment to a Quality and continuous improvement culture.

　　Familiarity to externals, bearing compartments and gear drive systems, and engine fuel, lube, and air system hardware would be beneficial.

　　Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

　　Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

　　The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
