The Senior Director of Product Strategy will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of our product portfolio. This leadership role requires aligning the product mix and priorities with the company's overall strategy and goals. Your mission will be to ensure that the product and engineering organization stays focused on these goals while fostering innovation and growth. This role demands a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams, drive product excellence, and maintain a strong focus on customer and market needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Strategic Product Alignment: Ensure that the product mix and the product priorities align with and support the company's overall strategy and goals. Keep the product and engineering organization aligned with these goals.Product Roadmap Development: Create and align the portfolio product roadmaps with the company's overall go-to-market and product strategies.Cross-Functional Participation: Act as a key member of a cross-functional team, representing all products within the portfolio.Legacy to New Application Migration: Refine and execute plans for migrations from legacy applications to new applications.Product Release Prioritization: Prioritize product releases in a way that accelerates value delivery to customers and aligns with the vision for the product portfolio.Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the senior leadership team and cross-functional leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy.Team Leadership: in success, attract, develop, and lead a team of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts. Guide the team in making strategic decisions based on sound research.Framework Utilization: Employ processes and frameworks like Pragmatic Marketing and Stage-Gate to guide product development.Organizational Coordination: Ensure that commitments are fulfilled on time and that the cross-functional business unit is ready for software releases.Communication Plan: Maintain a communication plan to report on the roadmap, priorities, issues, and launch activity to all internal stakeholders transparently.Voice of the Customer: Act as the 'voice of the customer' for outside stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met.Customer and Sales Engagement: Work directly with sales and customers to understand their needs, respond to inquiries, and adjust product plans for business growth.Collaborative Partnerships: Partner with product marketing for customer advisory board meetings and support product managers in creating customer collaboration boards.PDLC Framework Adherence: Follow and adapt to the PDLC framework for new product development, enhancements, and end-of-life planning.Product Lifecycle Management: Manage end-of-life decisions for products and oversee the shutdown of applications.Quality Improvement: Identify and ex cute opportunities to improve quality across the product portfolio, including development, implementation, and maintenance.Budget Management: Track and manage the overall product management budget.Business Case Development: Create business cases for new product development and partnerships to enhance the product's position or support sales opportunities.Funding Proposals: Write proposals for additional development resources.Metrics Analysis: Identify, investigate, and report key metrics driving product success.
Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, plus 10 years of industry-related experience (if no degree, an equivalent amount of experience in addition to 10 years will be considered).

The salary range for remote US-based applicants for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.$150,000 - $196,000 base salary, plus bonus potential.
