Sr. Data Modeler (AWS)

　　CGI has an immediate need for a Sr. Data Modeler (AWS) to join our financial services team in Columbia, SC, Lafayette, LA or Belton, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. where CGI has an office.

　　Your future duties and responsibilities

　　As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to designing, managing, and documenting one or more data stores, data warehouses, and/or subject areas. In this role, you will assess overall opportunities for improving or consolidating data stores/warehouses and their data elements.

　　• Support team with managing data and perform development or maintenance work on data models to support enterprise projects

　　• Provide analysis and feedback on data model discrepancies and integration challenge

　　Coordinate with business units and technical staff to understand data usage, lineage, and attributes

　　• Align data architecture workstreams with business objectives

　　• Gather information for new data models and/or reuse of data models in new environments

　　Required qualifications to be successful in this role

　　• 7+ years of relevant experience

　　• Experience as an application DBA in an Oracle and/or PostgreSQL environment

　　• Experience writing database procedural code. PL/SQL, T/SQL

　　• Experience working w/ design teams on large scale data movement projects

　　• Application and database performance tuning

　　• Experience with UNIX scripting and Dev/Ops tools

　　Desired Skillset

　　• Experience in relational and dimensional data modeling

　　• Experience using data modeling tools like ER Studio or ERWin

　　• Experience working with file formats like JSON, Parquet, XML, Avro

　　• Development and coding experience in Python, JAVA

　　• Experience in database schema design and implementation in one or more AWS data storage and access technologies such as AWS RDS (Oracle and PostgreSQL, Aurora, Redshift, S3, Glue Meta Store

　　EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,700.00 - $146,900.00.
