This role represents a management position within the Asset Sustainability Group to help grow, operationalize, and scale Ameresco’s Energy and Climate offering. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, an entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership qualities with specialist knowledge of building energy systems, built environment decarbonization pathways, and will be experienced working with, and analyzing, complex data sets.
Responsibilities :
Develop and qualify prospects for energy and climate planning services including energy management, decarbonization and net zero planning, and software as a service.
Lead the full lifecycle of the sales process from prospecting to contract signature. Develop an energy and climate sales playbook. Prepare the best messaging, develop the best engagement strategies, and build the required toolset to ensure we win on a repeatable basis.
Bring ASG/Asset Planner into new industry verticals and market segments. Evangelize and raise the profile of our products and services. Explore new procurement vehicles such as Energy Management as a Service, Carbon Management as a Service, Software as a Service, Shared Savings, etc;
Contribute to AssetPlanner's product strategy by leading voice of customer and sharing feedback from strategic accounts on the front line.
Become a trusted advisor in energy management and climate planning. Educate customers on where to start and how to streamline data management for effective energy management programs, help them reduce energy consumption and achieve cost savings, navigate carbon reporting, net zero planning, and broader climate related activities.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, Engineering, Economics, Business or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 Years Track record of selling software and advisory services, to both the public and private sector, at an executive level.

Possess an ability for consultative selling, listening to customers and becoming the trusted advisor that helps them solve their problem.
An exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with a strong eye for detail.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves to learn, adapt, and be a force for positive change throughout an organization.
