Note: To be considered for this Senior Associate Actuary role, this position requires a minimum of an ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) credential, a bachelor's degree, and a min. of 5+ years of actuarial experience.
Position Purpose:
Understand and operationalize risk adjustment initiatives which help improve the care of our members
Study performance of our programs and implement improvements by understanding the entire process, starting with data extracts from data warehouse with IT teams, all the way to communicating results and recommendations to leaders
Improve department reporting capabilities by proposing and implementing solutions
In this Senior Associate role, you will:
Use SQL to extract and manipulate data
Partner with Actuarial, Data Analytics, Data Science, and IT teams
Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
Assist with developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information
Develop and run data reports
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of actuarial experience.
License/Certification: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification)
Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States. However, due to the needs of the business, ideal work schedule is CST with some flexibility.
