Robert Half's trusted client is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant for a long-term engagement. The Sr. Accountant will be a key figure in our organization, focusing on improving process efficiencies, conducting financial analysis to identify areas for streamlining, and implementing new systems. You will be working extensively with QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial tools to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assist in reducing time spent on tasks such as payroll and expense processing

• Develop and present financial reports and statements

• Extract and analyze data from QuickBooks and transfer it into Excel for further analysis

• Play an integral role in the implementation of new systems, including ERP and Concur

• Analyze and potentially automate the allocation of school expenditures

• Review and maintain Profit Loss statements

• Utilize your experience with General Ledger systems to consolidate payroll

• Involved in budget planning and implementation, collaborating with different departments to establish budgets

• Track and account for unique grant expenditures

• Communicate effectively with team members who may be resistant to changes

• Utilize your experience with non-profit sector and QuickBooks to contribute to our operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Adept at multitasking and working under pressure

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
