This client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the industry of energy solutions located in Houston, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be pivotal in ensuring the company's operations are recorded, analyzed, and reported accurately and in compliance with U.S. GAAP regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate general accounting operations, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Develop and implement accounting policies.

• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos.

Ideal candidate will have worked in BIG 4, with SEC clients! Combo of BIG 4 and industry is ideal!!! • Respond to requests for information from both internal and external sources.

• Prepare audit schedules for external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory, state, and federal requirements.

• Participate in cross-functional project teams, contributing to the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated systems.

• Utilize Excel and Dynamics 365 Finance Operations to organize data and produce easy to understand workpapers.

• Prioritize work effectively, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and respond flexibly to changing work priorities.

• Exercise a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

• Perform duties, accomplish tasks, and achieve goals independently or with minimal supervision.

Requirements • Position: Sr. Accountant

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Comfortable performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to handle Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance Operations

• Understanding of Excel Formulas

• Knowledge of ASC 815 and ASC 606 standards is required
