A client of ours is looking for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join their team in Conroe, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to perform crucial accounting duties within our fast-paced environment, manage accounts receivable, and maintain the integrity of the company's finances. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough examinations of financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with our tax professionals in the preparation of quarterly estimates and annual returns.

• Inspect and regularly update all documentation and systems related to accounting and company finances.

• Contribute to the establishment of company best practices related to accounting.

• Propose innovative and scalable approaches to reduce costs, streamline processes, and improve margins.

• Manage multiple priorities effectively, whether working independently or as part of a team.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information.

• Demonstrate proficiency with standard systems and spreadsheets for invoicing and billing.

• Exhibit knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices.

• Show significant experience with office productivity applications, with a strong aptitude for learning new systems and approaches.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

• Ability to perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with the general ledger and ability to produce journal entries.

• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting month-end close processes.

• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
