Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Fargo, North Dakota area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Proven knowledge of GAAP Accounting
US GAAP experience highly desired
Solid understanding of Corporate Accounting
Fixed assets experience
Foundational knowledge in SAP
Month end closings experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Must have excellent time management skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
