In this role you will own the general ledger forassigned accounts. The Sr. Accountant is responsible for ensuringaccurate accounting, providing accounting support and guidance forcomplex business transactions, driving the completion of the Komatsu\'sannual report, and ensuring consistency in the application of globalaccounting policies. The Sr. Accountant will act as a business partnerfor key stakeholders, with a focus on driving process improvements,resolving business challenges, and evaluating the impact of new businessinitiatives. Key Job Responsibilities * Ensure accurate accounting forassigned accounts, including preparation of journal entries and monthlyaccount reconciliations. * Provide accounting support and guidance forcomplex business transactions such as acquisitions, integrationactivities, reserves, etc. * Assist in the preparation of positionpapers for ad hoc technical accounting issues, as well as developproject plans, determine the impact of transactions to the business, andinteract with key members of the business / third parties. * Workcollaboratively with business contacts to identify and drive processimprovements, resolve business challenges, and provide financialinformation to key stakeholders to assist in making business decisions.* Proactively work with the global accounting team to ensureconsistency in application of accounting practices. * Coordinatecomplex cross-functional accounting projects and initiatives. * Drivethe preparation of the annual Komatsu\'s financial statements, includingdisclosures and supporting schedules, in accordance with US GAAP. *Assist with internal and external audit requests. * Prepare SOXcontrols.
