Description Bring your accounting experience and know-how to a dynamic, growing team at Robert Half, now seeking a permanent Senior Accountant in the CHICAGO, Illinois area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. 　　Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

　　Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

　　Partake in various department-wide initiatives

　　Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

　　Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

　　Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

　　Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

　　Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

　　Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements

　　Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

　　Proficient in ERP systems

　　Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

　　Vow to meet business deadlines

　　BA/BS in Accounting

　　3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

　　Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

　　Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

　　Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

　　Strong attention to detail

　　Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

　　Strong time management skills preferred

　　Strong familiarity with Audit Activities

　　Financial statement preparation experience preferred

　　Bank reconciliations experience desired
