We're committed to solving for safer every day because the work we do here matters.Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Sales team is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Citizen Engagement, 9-1-1 Call Taking, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311, and analytics software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a top-performing, technical sales professional who understands the unique approach to selling our company's public safety products to existing customers and developing and maintaining excellent customer/client relationships. Customer relationships are developed by phone contact, personal visits, and attending regional user group meetings. Sales responsibilities are assigned by region or major geographical area. Selling opportunities include on-site product presentations, online demonstrations, and coordinating with state and local officials on individual and multi-jurisdictional projects. A thorough understanding of local government procurement processes is helpful. Typically travel is moderate to high, with the Account Sales Executive typically being in territory (in front of the customer) 40-50%. Top sales performers are compensated aggressively with accelerators upon achieving annual sales quota. This position reports to the Software Area Account Sales Manager.**The reps territory will primarily cover Idaho and Washington accounts.Responsibilities:Attend scheduled training programs and other sales skills development opportunities.Report and communicate regularly to Regional Account Sales Manager to provide status of progression of opportunities, potential hurdles or setbacks, territory customer needs, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.Regular upkeep of CRM activities and accurate forecasting is a fundamental job requirement.Develop and maintain solid sales relationships with existing customers within different departments at the agency.Gain an understanding of the customer's business practices and provide solutions to increase organization efficiency, improve personnel safety, reduce liability, and enhance communication.Communicate effectively with customers to set proper expectations as they relate to project implementations.Prepare and complete sales agreements and related sales documentation and assist with sale negotiations and closings.Help clients identify funding sources and occasionally assist in the sole-source justification process.Occasionally attend tradeshowsin the assigned territoryCoordinate, prepare, and conduct product demonstrations.
