Position Summary
Responsible, among other tasks, for the integrity and reporting of the data in the grant management systems of the Office of Sponsored Research Administration.
Job Responsibilities
Processes reports, dashboards and metrics to monitor performance; uses quantitative analysis, data mining and presentation of data to support decision making; provides insights, trends and opportunities for planning initiatives and strategic projects.
Prepares and analyzes routine and ad-hoc reports for any discrepancies. Compiles summaries as needed. Escalates said reports or analysis for review if necessary.
Responsible for data accuracy in grant management systems. Performs compliance checks and reviews of award documentation before an account is created, which includes a final budget review.
Processes awards and agreements when no terms or conditions negotiation is required. Investigates and corrects discrepancies. Escalates issues as needed.
Participates in standard operating procedure maintenance and modification to address changes in workflow and/or problematic areas. Assists in the development and improvement of workflows, systems and hand-offs.
Reviews and approves financial transactions that are posted to sponsored research accounts.
Retrieves and analyzes data from multiple sources for audit purposes.
Supports the sponsored research quality assurance program throughout the grant life cycle.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's DegreeExperience
Degree pursuing candidates may be considered based on years of experience.
Approximately 4+ years of data quality assurance/audit experience.
Understanding of research administration.
Healthcare knowledge-clinical setting, administration or operations.
Research Integrity (Conflicts, IRB, DSMB, IBC, IACUC, etc.) policy knowledge.
Database experience a plus (Tableau/Power Bi etc.).
SAP experience a plus.
Institutional research experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications, especially MS Excel.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Advanced analytical skills.
Ability to work in a very demanding and high pressure environment.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
