  FUNCTION & SCOPE:

  Working closely with members of the Central Office Sponsored Programs Services team, the incumbent will perform basic data entry and other tasks associated with key business systems under general supervision.

  DUTIES:

  Be an effective team player by working with sponsored programs team members to accomplish established tasks.

  Utilize various systems, including the RF's Oracle Business System and Pre-Award Compliance System (PACS) to process basic award establishment, accounts receivable, or pre-award transactions, including but not limited to budget adjustments, date extensions, establishing new awards, running reports, creating A/R invoices, and entering proposals as well as agreements.

  Set up billing e-files, gather closeout documentation, and call or send follow-up emails on past due invoices.

  May provide support for special projects on an as-needed basis. Tasks may include but are not limited to, writing, editing, preparing PowerPoint presentations, data entry, researching topics as directed, preparing documents, and any other tasks that will facilitate the work of the functional team.

  Provide back-up support as needed for general office functions, which may include answering the front door, ordering supplies, sorting mail, completing equipment inventory, scheduling conference calls, setting up meetings through Microsoft Outlook, as well as scheduling conference calls and WebEx sessions.

  Be an effective team player by working with other team members to accomplish the above objectives and for professional development as an employee of the RF. This would include constant review of processes being performed for continuous improvements.

  Assist in other departmental projects or special assignments under the direction of the supervisor.

  Other duties as may be assigned.

  SKILLS:

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  Excellent communication skills.

  Ability to both work as part of a team and independently.

  Job Requirements:

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  Office experience preferred.

  Knowledge of Oracle Business Systems a plus.

  Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is $18/hr undergrad and $20/hr grad students.
