Job Description

　　One of Insight Global's finance clients needs a Splunk Consultant to join their team. The Splunk Consultant will come into the team with a natural desire to coach and train in a Splunk environment with no training. This person will work closely with the Splunk Engineer to develop and maintain documentation for Splunk deployment, configuration, and usage.

　　The Splunk consultant will be responsible for the following:

　　-Conduct training sessions for novice Splunk users on how to prepare and format data in Excel for Splunk ingestion and dashboard creation

　　Provide basic guidance on how to transform data into lookup tables, ingest them into Splunk, and design dashboards to visualize them

　　Demonstrate the steps of data extraction, data set creation, data ingestion, and dashboard development using Splunk

　　Deliver instruction and assessment on Splunk skills and competencies

　　Support the presentation of Splunk projects by ensuring high-quality dashboards and reports

　　Educate IT engineers on how to ingest logs from various data sources into Splunk

　　Ingest logs from databases, servers, and other systems using Splunk

　　Assist with data quality audits and evaluations:

　　Review applications and determine their suitability and necessity for Splunk ingestion

　　Navigate Splunk and understand its functionalities and features

　　Skills and Requirements

　　6+ years in an IT environment

　　3+ years of Splunk experience

　　 Splunk visualization and ingestion skills

　　 Strong skills in Splunk engineering and Splunk environment

　　 Strong visualization skills

　　 Know how to do coding to do cool graphs

　　Excellent professional communication skills null
