Serves as a Psychiatric Provider in the Tribal Health Department Clinic(s) in Ronan, St. Ignatius, Polson, Elmo, & Arlee, providing scope within their licensure either as a psychiatrist (MD) or psychiatric nurse practitioner. Psychiatric Provider assesses and diagnoses patients, provides limited psychotherapy, and prescribes medication. They treat patients with diagnosed disorders, as well as those with family histories or other factors that increase the likelihood of potential mental illness. The Provider must have the competencies and skill for assessing physical and psychosocial health and/or illness status of patients.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Incumbent must possess a specialized knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of Psychiatric Mental Health obtained through the successful completed course of study as a psychiatrist MD or P.M.H.N.P. The incumbent must have a through working knowledge within their scope primary care and mental health, to treat a majority of patients.
