A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesEvaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental and/or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations; identifies patient's strengths and deficits; establishes goals; and develops an individualized treatment plan incorporating patient and family needs.Administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development, function, and independence; utilizes developmental activities and other treatment techniques to meet each patient's specific needs and achieve therapy goals; observes progress and/or changes in patient's condition and modifies treatment plan accordingly.Educates patients/parents/caregivers on treatment goals and therapy plan; instructs on therapeutic activities to follow at home; documents instruction; and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding.Documents patients evaluation results, objective status, progress towards goals, treatment plan, and recommendations in compliance with documentation requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations; utilizes appropriate computerized or standardized documentation methods, as applicable to caseload.Communicates patient's status and collaborates with physicians, third-party payors, and relevant healthcare providers.Participates in Evidence Based Practice, maintaining active knowledge of peer reviewed literature and implementing this information in best clinical care.Maintains the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling patients for treatment, entering daily patient charges, and submitting timely documentation to appropriate parties.Conducts formal and informal Speech Language Pathology educational programs for hospital staff
