Job Description:
As a School Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication needs of our students. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and can start immediately.Hours per week: 40
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify and diagnose speech and language disorders.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.Provide engaging therapy sessions to students with speech and language challenges.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the school environment.Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.Adapt therapy techniques to suit the needs of the students.Provides speech therapy services to exceptional children students.Evaluates, screens and observes students.Write evaluation reports, progress notes, and individualized education plans.Participates in individual education plan meetings with parents.Plans appropriate therapy instructions.Communicates with parents, teachers, administrators and coordinates therapy with the teachersAttend IEP meetingsQualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or state equivalent.North Carolina state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Proven experience in a school setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Ability to adapt therapy techniques to suit the needs of the students.
