What you can expect

Join our legal team at Zoom, where agility, resilience, and a keen understanding of our business strategy are essential. As Privacy Counsel , you will play a key role in supporting Zoom’s products in the enterprise and customer experience space, including Zoom Contact Center and Zoom Phone.

About the Team

The Zoom privacy team is committed to safeguarding user data and ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations. Our team collaborates cross-functionally to implement privacy policies, conduct risk assessments, and support product and engineering, prioritizing transparency and maintaining trust with Zoom users. We play a crucial role in nurturing a privacy-centric culture across Zoom, while remaining vigilant to emerging privacy trends and regulations.

What we’re looking for

Have a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and U.S. bar admission with at least 7 years experience practicing law in-house or a combination of law firm and in-house setting.

Have substantive understanding of data privacy, technology, and related terminology.

Experience advising product and engineering teams on implementing privacy requirements and familiarity with privacy issues affecting B2B cloud services.

Have knowledge of global privacy and regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, HIPAA, FERPA, etc.

Experience advising product teams.

Experience in quickly identifying and prioritizing risks and outcomes.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$118,600.00

Maximum:

$259,500.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
