MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Seeking a special education teacher to provide instruction and support to students enrolled in the BT BOCES Virtual Learning Academy. Key responsibilities include:

　　Design, facilitate, implement, and monitor progress of IEP goals

　　Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and methods, including differentiation, to meet diverse student needs.

　　Structure the student environment to provide a supportive virtual educational setting that maximizes student potential

　　Ongoing collaboration with the Student Success Team, and other teachers working with the students.

　　Support students to achieve high expectations

　　Accurately complete all paperwork related to provided services in a timely manner as mandated by NYS and school policies and procedures

　　Job Qualifications

　　REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Must have NYS Certification as a Special Education Teacher: SWD 7-12 Generalist or SWD K-12

　　Prefer candidate to also hold NYS Certification SWD 7-12 in Math, English or Social Studies

　　Strong collaboration skills

　　A commitment to meeting the needs of every student

　　A strong belief that all students can succeed

　　Strong use of instructional technology to meet student needs
