　　The Mt. Lebanon School District in Allegheny County is seeking applicants for *Special Education Paraprofessional *positions in its elementary, middle, and high schools.

　　These are full-time, on-site, permanent, 10 month positions (late August-early June) providing instructional support to students with special needs and providing operational and clerical support to the special education instruction team. Assignments available in elementary. middle, and high school classrooms.

　　These positions work 7 hours/day, scheduled between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:45 PM, 190 days during the regular school year. Evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers off.

　　Rates starting at $15.41 per hour (approx. $20,495 annual) depending upon previous school experience.

　　Duties include:

　　Engaging with students and staffPerforming instructional support tasks like supervision, tutoring, and coachingPerforming behavioral support tasks like communicating positive expectations, prompting/signaling, and redirectingPerforming clerical support tasks like organizing materials and recording progress and observationsQualities needed:

　　QUALIFICATIONSIn order to be eligible for these paraprofessional positions, the applicant must meet at least one of the following criteria:

　　Be a high school graduate or posses a GED, AND1) Have completed at least two (2) years of postsecondary study, OR2) Possess an associates degree or higher, OR3) Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years.
