Job SummaryThe Systems Performance, Estimation, and Algorithms Department (SPEAD)performs concept development, systems engineering, architectureanalysis, algorithm development and evaluation support for national securityspace customers emphasizing Radar, Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared(IR) sensors, missile warning/missile tracking/missile defense(MW/MT/MD) missions, Electronic Warfare (EW), space domainawareness (SDA), and space protection and security.
The selected candidate will provide analytical support, algorithmdevelopment, systems engineering and architecting, and modeling andsimulation analysis for space surveillance systems, space protection andspace threat susceptibility, vulnerability analysis and resiliencyassessment. What you need to be successfulMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, electrical or aerospace engineering,physics, computer science or equivalent.5 years or more experience in the development, modeling and simulation,analysis and evaluation of MW/MT space systemsExperience in systems engineering analysis of space surveillance systemsincluding system-of-systems architectures, system and sensor levelevaluation and simulation, mission performance assessment with emphasis onsingle and multi-target tracking, detection and estimation, sensor taskingand scheduling, system error analysis, and system integrationDevelop computer tools and simulations to support analyses ofinterdisciplinary support teams and performing general and specific systemsengineering trades assessmentsBackground in statistics, estimation, controls, signal processing or arelated field with experience developing and implementing tracking algorithmsFluent in at least one the following programming languages; C++,Python, C, Java, MATLABGood interpersonal communication and briefing skills along with the ability towork independently and interact effectively with high-level government,Aerospace, and contractor personnelThis position requires a Secret security clearance, which is issued by theU.S. government.
