Demonstrate expert-level skills in Teppanyaki cooking techniques, emphasizing precision and artistry without the use of flames or theatrical displays.
Collaborate with Chef De Cuisine to create innovative Teppanyaki dishes, ensuring a balance of flavors, textures, and visual appeal.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in line with the restaurant's reputation.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Umami kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring efficient stock rotation.
Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Mentor and train Umami kitchen staff, ensuring they are well-versed in Teppanyaki techniques and adhere to established culinary standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant.
Culinary degree or relevant certification.
Strong understanding of Teppanyaki cooking methods and Japanese cuisine.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
