Hours:8:30 AM- 5:00 PM Job Description: The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures under the direction of the MFM program providers and physician director of ultrasound. The MFM Sonographer has a thorough understanding of the equipment and its appropriate use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs exams accurately and is able to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment. Applies critical thinking skills appropriately. Assists physician with procedures as requested. Recognizes emergent situations and responds appropriately. Has a strong anatomy and physiology background. Maintains accurate customer medical records. Ensures confidentiality of all medical records. Utilizes Imaging and clinic computer systems correctly. Interacts with physicians, co-workers, customers, and families in a professional manner. Has access to medications appropriate to their job duties. Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals. The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list. The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement when deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting, and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility. Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in Blaze Health's Corporate Code of Conduct. Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties. Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication. Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory: ARDMS Registered or Registry Eligible BLS Certification RVT Registered or Registry Eligible; new graduates are required to obtain within 12 months of hire through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Previous Maternal Fetal Medicine specialty experience required.
