About Solution Architect (Migration Test Lead)

  We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Migration Test Lead Architect with a background in Microsoft Azure and Software development testing who will be a valuable part of our Industry Solutions Delivery team in the UK. This customer-facing position empowers customers on their digital journey, from envisioning new possibilities to delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and a great customer experience.

  You will have responsibility for leading the delivering of high quality architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Demonstrating deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and offerings across the entire life-cycle, together with a critical focus on opportunity management, leadership and technical governance, this is your chance to drive transformational results and enable the realisation of business strategy for both customers and Microsoft Industry Solutions.

  Responsibilities

  Your passion for creating solutions that bring value to our customers’ businesses and your professional, consultancy style approach will offer you the opportunity to get involved in a number of activities, including:

  Working with senior level business stakeholders within our customer to identify testing requirements and influencing the approach and solutions  

  Assuming a lead role in agile engagements, working with the customer and technical teams on design and implementation of testing approaches, providing guidance and decision making

  Collaborating with local area teams on demand generation and presales activities

  Mentoring colleagues to share your knowledge and experience

  Qualifications

  With a combination of your architectural experience, technical leadership and your personable and consultative customer engagement style, you will be well positioned to succeed in this role. Other skills and experiences that will be important in allowing you to add value include:

  A background of defining testing architecture and strategy forcomplexprograms focused on Azure application migration services, including:

  Defining testing strategies - Analysing existing strategies and identifying gaps

  Automated Testing (UI, API, Infrastructure Code)

  Manual Testing

  Performance Testing

  Security Testing

  Defining testing architectures

  Analysis of existing testing tool chain

  Performance of gap analysis on the tool chain

  Making recommendations and influencing stakeholders to adopt

  Defining the test plan for specific migrated applications.

  Building and leading a high performing team of testers to meeting requirements

  Proven understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.

  Regular involvement in presenting complex technical topics to both an executive and a technical audience

  An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms

  Experience in several complex product development or migration projects from on-premise to cloud platforms for enterprise customers

  Ability to lead a multidisciplinary technical team, provide clear direction and take accountability for technical project outcomes

  Experience engaging in large scale consulting engagements(including estimation models, scoping, development of budgetary estimates, writing proposals)
