We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Solution Architect with a background in Microsoft Azure and cloud product development (applications and data) who will be a valuable part of our Industry Solutions Delivery team in the UK. This customer-facing position empowers customers on their digital journey, from envisioning new possibilities to delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and a great customer experience.

　　You will have responsibility for leading the delivering of high quality architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Demonstrating deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and offerings across the entire life-cycle, together with a critical focus on opportunity management, leadership and technical governance, this is your chance to drive transformational results and enable the realisation of business strategy for both customers and Microsoft Industry Solutions.

　　Qualifications

　　With a combination of your architectural experience, technical leadership and your personable and consultative customer engagement style, you will be well positioned to succeed in this role. Other skills and experiences that will be important in allowing you to add value include:

　　Experience engaging in large scale consulting engagement(including estimation models, scoping, development of budgetary estimates, writing proposals)

　　A background of delivering complex solutions focused on Azure services and leading application migration and rearchitectingprojects at enterprise scale, including:

　　Development of cloud native solutions utilising Azure services including Web application frameworks, CI/CD, event driven architectures, microservices, Serverless Applications (e.g. Azure Functions)

　　DevSecOps toolchain and expertise (Gitlab, ADO preferred)

　　Experience of building large scale custom applications in the cloud, application scalability considerations, resilience, observability

　　Refactoring of applications to adopt Azure based cloud native technologies including Kubernetes services, Azure Container Applications, Azure PostgreSQL, Flexible Server, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Application Gateway, Container Registry and Event Hub.

　　Rearchitecting solutions to adopt Azure PaaS Services

　　Experience in building migration patterns spanning compute, relational databases, data migration methods.

　　Proven understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.

　　Regular involvement in presenting complex technical topics to both an executive and a technical audience

　　An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms

　　Experience in several complex product development or migration projects from on-premise to cloud platforms for enterprise customers

　　Ability to lead a multidisciplinary technical team, provide clear direction and take accountability for technical project outcomes
