Description The Application Architect organizes the lifecycle of new development on future and existing products. This includes managing daily product development efforts, designing product architecture, and reviewing product requirements. The Application Architect will be responsible for managing complex interactions between business processes and technologies as well as translating product specifications into production level applications.

Carry out other related duties as assigned by management.
Establish and improve development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics.
Support code development for web-based n-tier applications.
Support developers in a technical and non-technical capacity- Create, design, and document solutions to product specifications for shared capabilities throughout the architecture.
Aid in product release planning and helps assess feature viability/effort.
Create and sustain technical architecture standards and develop cross-product frameworks and best practices.
Along with the product team, work to understand requirements and create functionality specifications.
Govern the deployment of alpha and beta releases during the stabilization of new product development.
Mentor team members to grow abilities and strengthen capabilities.
Facilitate code reviews, calling out best practices and steps for increased stability and capability.
Assist in writing the technical section of functional specifications for new product development.
Manage the timeline for product development. Requirements - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
5+ years of experience in team management in a related field.
Experience with creating realistic plans, goals, and aligning plans with company goals, managing resources, and creating contingency plans.
Demonstrated capability to evaluate existing architecture, documenting issues and suggested improvements
Demonstrated capability to lead small teams and work independently.
Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation experience.
Strong understanding of database design.
Experience with creating, debugging, securing, testing, and optimizing code for multiple web-based applications and services.
Capable of decomposing and prioritizing components of large systems.
Software development language skills preferred.
10+ years of experience in application development, software design, and architecture.
Consulting experience with business analysis, data management, system architecture, and distributed technologies.
Skilled in threading, asynchronous event handling, data binding, scripting and query languages/tools.
Desire to learn new technologies related to the Web and application development.
