Roles and Responsibilities:
Participation on Local and Central Enterprise Architecture Assurance (EAA) boards
Together with other Architects establish the direction for future architectural patterns or new
technologies within existing and future Ford IT applications.
Creation and review of architecture assessments
Responsible for alignment of Solution Architects in IT practices with enterprise initiatives globally
Ensures adherence to architecture standards
Creates the architecture strategy for applications in the enterprise
Manage the development of technology cycle plans for the Product Line/Program concentrating
on technologies and components that the company has considered to be declining and/or end of
life also responsible for identifying the impact of these technologies on the portfolio.
Manage vendor relationships as it pertains to technical architecture including supporting product evaluations and acquisitions, integration, support agreements, and issue resolution. May interact with agency and/or consultants for technical support and communication of future requirements. Represents the Company to the industry within domain of responsibility.Selection Criteria:
Full application / system development lifecycle knowledge and experience.
Expertise with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and implementation technologies
such as web services.
Knowledge of frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns.
Ability to work closely with application developers to ensure the goals of the business are
achieved.
Proven ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and integrate new and existing technologies to realizebusiness value.
Support Information Standards and Enterprise Data Items
Develop Logical Data Model diagrams and LDM dictionaries.
Develop Physical Data Model diagrams and PDM dictionaries.
Communicate Data Architecture (DA) Artifacts with other Architects
Perform Data Quality Analysis and identify data quality issues
