Job Description:
As a Software Pedigree Manager at Ford Motor Co Ready for Testing Group, you will play a crucial leadership role within the vehicle platforms you support, specifically focusing on the Flashing of vehicle software. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating closely with other Pedigree Managers and their programs for software updates.
Managing and facilitating Vehicle Flashing Events to determine an optimal update plan.
Maintaining RTT assets needed for electrical updates and Flashes.
Interacting with team leads, pedigree managers, program teams, and ad hoc teams to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.
Acquiring the ability to work within, download from, and organize required software from IVS development package.
Troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving problems associated with flashing events, including utilizing PC flashing techniques.
Detailed Requirements:
Downloading software needed for the flash from IVS vault to Puma tool.
Flashing and configuring vehicles using Puma or other tools.
Determining if the flash was successful; if not, contacting the Global Software Update Tool Subject Matter Expert for support.
Tracking and propagating best practices and lessons learned from one program to the next.
Driving the Software Ready To Test Process to a more efficient model.
Ensuring correct vehicles are delivered on time to each update event as determined by the program teams and the VEV Test Planners.
Setting up with Script, software files, configuration files, and hardware.csv file.
Downloading log files and analyzing for any errors.
Supporting R-events and walk-up stations.
Position Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license without restrictions.
Prior experience with software flashing, diagnosing, and problem resolution.
Experience with Puma, IVS Radmoon, DET, MyCANIC
