As a Software Engineering Manager for Snowpark, you will lead and expand our distributed engineering team. Together with industry-wide experts in distributed systems, cross-cloud development and engineering excellence, you will evolve Snowflake to grow into a fully fledged Application Platform.Snowpark is an interface to Snowflake in different language environments, but also a platform that customers and partners build exciting applications on.Your team will design the APIs and language features that data engineers, data scientists and ML practitioners will use to analyze and transform data, and build production ready workflows.OUR IDEAL MANAGER WILL HAVE:7+ years industry experience designing and building customer-facing enterprise platforms.2+ years of software engineering management experience.Strong passion for making developers highly productive.A passion for technology and end-to-end ownership mindset to support your engineering team wherever needed.Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Outstanding written and oral English language skills.Ability to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA office.BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:Experience working on database or compiler internalsExperience working with developer SDKs, APIs and client libraries.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
