  This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

  Responsibilities

  Lead an Agile software development team (approximately 3-7 people).

  Deliver done-done features to customers at high velocity with a focus on engineering excellence.

  Act as a player-coach, who can mentor & coach team members into highly productive team players.

  Promote can-do attitude, engineering mindset and collaboration as fundamental team values.

  Influence software/application architecture and facilitate CI/CD pipeline improvements.

  Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Agile teams to deliver large initiatives.

  Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent.

  Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStar’s business model / technology.

  Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.

  Adopt an owner-operator mindset and display full ownership of the product and technical platforms.

  Basic Qualifications

  A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) from an accredited, not for profit university or college.

  A track record of commitment to prior employers

  7+ years of relevant work experience.

  3+ years of experience leading Agile Team(s).

  3+ years of experience in modern application development and database technologies.

  3+ years of experience building large distributed, API-driven systems.

  In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in .NET (C#) software development.

  Demonstrated experience with Functional, OOP and software design patterns.

  Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements and offering relevant, timely technical solutions.

  Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  Experience with asynchronous programming, featuring high throughput services.

  Experience with relational databases (preferably SQL Server).

  Experience with non-relational databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB or Elasticsearch).

  Experience with cloud-based technologies (preferably AWS).

  Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

  Commercial Real Estate knowledge is a bonus.
