　　Who we are looking for:

　　You are currently in a college program seeking an internship or co-op opportunity. You are the type of person who enjoys being part of a cross-functional team. You will participate in all aspects of the software delivery process, including gathering requirements, designing, and developing software solutions. As a member of the Workplace Solutions Engineering Development Group. You will have the opportunity to leverage expertise in software development and systems integration for a growing family of office multi-function and printer devices.

　　Responsibilities:

　　As an intern, you will support a wide variety of tasks and functions within the group that will include the following elements:

　　Participate in design activity for various features. Responsible for embedded applications and new feature design, development and programming in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PHP/JavaScript/AJAX on a Linux platform.

　　Work with customer representatives to gather, detail, document, and clarify requirements at the beginning of a new project.

　　Design, implement, debug and unit test software for new and existing applications.

　　Document design choices and implementation methods before moving on to next task.

　　Participate in code reviews.

　　Maintain and improve the existing code base.

　　Implement Object Oriented design concepts.

　　Create various Unit Tests and perform Test-driven development.

　　Collaborate with software team members and other cross-functional teams, to see projects to completion in an agile environment.

　　Qualifications:

　　Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, preferably 3rd or 4th year.

　　Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments

　　Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Ruby, PHP,JavaScript, AJAX

　　Knowledge of the software development life cycle, software development methodologies, and sound coding practices

　　Demonstrate strong design, analytical, and problem-solving skills

　　Ability to quickly learn and apply relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes into assigned work

　　Seeks feedback and applies suggested best practices to solutions

　　Good communication skills and team player with people from different cultures and backgrounds

　　Demonstrates skill in time management and completing projects in a cooperative team environment
