Your Role: What you'll be doingYou will lead a talented, high-performing team of employees thatarchitect, design, develop, and test software solutions. You willcoordinate project schedules, monitor development tasks, and provide &analyze metrics to evaluate process execution and reliability. Operating inan agile environment, you will engage with Product Owners, TechnologyArchitects, Quality Assurance, and Automation team members oncross-functional activities. As a member of the Software Engineeringleadership team, you will help set the direction of the organization, andprovide process ownership and technical leadership. You will participate instrategic activities such as proposal efforts, future planning, and developingYou are skilled at building strong teams and developing people. You have apassion for leading and driving change. You are motivated by improving systems& processes and seeing reliability & user productivity increase. The Recurring Flight Software Simulation/Test Environments Leader willoversee and direct development activities of the recurring integrated testenvironment in support of flight software.Flight software provides the capabilities required to operate the launchvehicle (e.g., Guidance, Navigation and Powered Autopilot) and controllaunch vehicle hardware systems (propulsion, mechanical & electricalsystems, including actuators, sensors, valves, avionics components).Simulation/test environments provide the virtual environment for testingflight software.This role directs a team responsible for developing & evolving futurecapabilities to be implemented into the simulation/test environments forflight software.Specific Responsibilities Include:Direct responsibility for program execution, cost & schedule, includingearned value.Coordinate with other functional disciplines to resolve technical andprogrammatic risks, issues, and challenges.Build partnerships with customers, suppliers, consultants, partners,and internal/external stakeholders.Ensure software development that is compliant with processes, procedures &requirements.Reinforce & mature Agile best practices, principles & processes.Participate in and guide agile ceremonies.Develop and maintain a team of engineers who establish requirements, developand integrate software and data products, and take them through testing anddeployment.Hiring, performance management, and career growth for the team.Along with other software leaders, shape the evolution of capabilities &roadmaps.
Your Background: What education and experience you'll needAt least 8 years applicable experience in the associated technical oradministrative area, plus a minimum of 2 years man ging people, projectmanagement or team lead experience or a combination of the three.

A Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,Mathematics) or a related technical field from an accredited college oruniversity is required.Prior experience managing people or managing programs/projects.Proven ability to lead across organizational boundaries and as part ofcross-functional teams.Experience with task planning/budgeting and project/program management.Interpersonal skills (collaboration, motivation, coaching and conflictresolution).Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.Experience and ability to drive strong team culture.Ability to grow and motivate employees.Self-starter with effective decision-making ability and can work with minimaldirection.
