Overview
This position is in support of LOGCAP
Under general direction of the Solutions Architect, the Software Sr. Engineer will work with the PMO/Operations Support Office for dedicated support of automation.
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
Develops and maintains software modules of web, database and work collaboration applications in support of authorized software and automation systems.
Maintains software program standards and procedures for software development projects.
Assists with defining requirements, recommending solutions and implementing desired solutions.
Recommends and coordinates resolution of software problems when discrepancies are identified.
Advises project teams in the use of software engineering technologies providing instruction, consultant and guidelines on software development methods and practices.
Provides continuing investigation of methods to improve software quality and software development productivity.
Development and management of intranet and internet web pages.
Create and publish on local intranet/SharePoint site local home book/contract information
Mentor Software Engineers.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High School diploma. BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Business-related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred. IT related certifications desirable.
Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
PMP Strongly desired
Must possess a current Security+ or equivalent baseline certification and appropriate computing environment certification.
A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a host nations driver's license, is required.
Experience:
3-5 years operational experience with at least two years development with enterprise applications including SharePoint.
3-5 years’ experience developing and maintaining web servers in a Microsoft environment (Server 2008 – 2016), Preferred SharePoint (2007-2013), Visual Studio, SQL Server 2008 or above).
1-3 years development experience with strong programming fundamentals, Java, .NET, Strong
Knowledge required in front end and back end technologies, preferably full stack developer
Fluent knowledge of PMI Methodologies
Skills:
Customer Service Training.
Working Conditions:
Works in a general office environment.
Duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions and high temperatures.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required.
Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Normal work week is 48 hours but must be able to work overtime or nights as required.
Physical Requirements:
Work will require lifting up to 25 lbs.
Stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
