Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to work as a member of the InspectAR R&D team, which focuses on elevating our InspectAR product to new orders of efficiency and scalability.
InspectAR is a unique augmented reality application used for testing and repairing electronics by world leading electronic manufacturers and research labs. As a full-stack, microservice-based, client-server solution, this multi-faceted product spans many domains, programming languages, and technologies. As a member of the team, you will work primarily on our Unity client application, but will have ample opportunity to solve unique problems in many other areas, including UI/UX, AR, networking, integrations, infrastructure, parsing, and databases.
Responsibilities:
Develop a cross-platform, augmented reality, Unity-based application
Own portions of inspectAR’s codebase, continually improving code quality and stability
Translate product design requirements into complex, clean, and efficient code
Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver critical features on time
Test for, report, debug, and resolve issues
Evaluate and implement solutions that address technical and business requirements/challenges
Experience:
Bachelors in Computer Science + 2 years of related experience, or
Masters in Computer Science + 0 years of related experience
Requirements:
Strong and demonstrable grasp of computer science fundamentals
Strong motivation for continual learning
Great to have:
Unity and C# experience
Experience with microservices and containerization
Experience building AR/CV apps and/or working with OpenCV/AR frameworks
Experience working with REST and GraphQL API’s
General application development lifecycle experience – designing, coding, testing, debugging applications
Good to have:
A working knowledge of version control, preferably Git
Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic understanding of PCB design and manufacturing
