  Position Description:

  Join our innovative team in Knoxville, TN, where we are seeking an experienced hands-on Software Engineer with a passion for excellence and a track record of successfully migrating data and applications from existing servers to the cloud.   Key Qualifications:

  Solid understanding/experience in Java (8 or newer) and Python.

  Expertise in networking, virtualization, storage, and containers.

  Hands-on experience in building and deploying applications using various Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  Exposure to financial software with adaptability is a must.

  Your future duties and responsibilities:

  Define and implement a comprehensive cloud reliability and observability strategy to ensure high availability of cloud systems.

  Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools for efficient system management.

  Hands-on experience in building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services.

  Demonstrate a passion for excellence, automation, innovation, and collaboration.

  Triage, execute root cause analysis, and solve new, interesting problems in a dynamic environment.

  Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  Experience defining and implementing a comprehensive cloud reliability and observability strategy, with hands-on experience in containers and container orchestration, especially with a strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts/ecosystem and deploying applications into EKS.

  Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.

  Familiarity with versioning and release practices (SCM) and code collaboration practices (Git).

  Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle in an agile environment.

  Experience with database virtualization products like Delphix and database replication using Oracle GoldenGate.

  Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or Kubernetes Application Developer.

  CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $74,600-$143,700.
