Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Software Development, including embedded processors and applications
Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (i.e., dept/peer review)
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Software or Electrical Engineering
Master’s degree preferred
8-12 years related engineering experience
Extensive Experience with sensor interfaces and data acquisition systems
Strong Experience with Communications Protocols (TCP/IP), Serial, USB, etc.
Demonstrated excellence in analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to lead others and deliver results
Object oriented programming in Java or C++ Python scripting
Web application frameworks
Linux development environments
Git, redmine and reviewboard
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Proficient with all development tools
Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills
