About Software Engineer

  DESCRIPTION:

  Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions, including UI implementation and backend database operations. Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including intake, analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist team members with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed strategic solutions. Ensure that all production changes are processed according to change management policies and procedures. Ensure that appropriate levels of quality assurance have been met for all new and existing products.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Java Developer, Software Trainer, Software Executive, or related occupation.

  Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Cloud Services including AWS and Cloud Foundry; Docker; Hibernate; Java; JSON; Maven; Oracle; React; SVN; UNIX; Bootstrap; JavaScript; Junit; microservices; REST; shell scripting; Splunk; GIT; Jenkins; Kubernetes; SOAP and REST web services; Spring Framework; Apache Tomcat; J2EE; software development; and SQL.

  Job Location: 600 Travis St, Houston, TX 77002.
