Job Responsibilities
Lead on all commercial and contractual issues and customer and key supplier negotiations across the business
Providing advice and assistance on contracts matters to key stakeholders.
Accountable for building contract terms that meet our EBITDA and cash flow requirements.
Accountable for subcontract terms that drive performance and reduce Draken’s exposure to claims.
Drafting and preparation of customer and key / major supplier contract documentation.
Working with external legal counsel as necessary to resolve legal disputes or in support of legal related issues.
Identify and address potential liabilities and risks facing the business.
Maintain regular contact and liaison with current customers and key suppliers to build strong relationship and share good practice across business.
Responsibility for the Contracts input to bids and proposals to customers.
Responsibility for the day-to-day contracts interface with customers and key suppliers
Manage key supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, all regulating entities and client expectations.
Prepare/update status reports, process client requests, review key supplier quotes.
Ensure the update and maintenance of all contracts and commercial procedures and policies.
Preparation and management of contract changes both customer and key suppliers.
Ensure effective and efficient contract and key subcontract administration
Understand change impact, capacity planning and workflow management.
Partner effectively with team members, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and compliance for the effective intake of procedural changes and for the review, approval and communication of procedures
Take a leadership role in achieving targets for accurate build cost assessments, budget control, and managing cost overruns within tolerance levels. within the Contracts Function.
Manage the due diligence process for the selection of key suppliers and relating to new customers.
Manage the process for key supplier identification utilizing group tender procedures.
Ensure the Commercial team is well-resourced, coached and guided in their responsibilities, and supported in communication, training, and development.
Deliver appropriate reports to the business adhering to standard format and schedule.
Work in collaboration with the other leaders in the organization to ensure we uphold group values, systems, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in contracts negotiation administration, contracts management, or contracts analysis, with at least 2 years’ experience in government contracts.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
