The problem space is well-defined but the solution space is not and strong technical acumen and ability to spot problems at architecture stage would be important. This role requires deep technical expertise, and gives you the opportunity to engineer systems and build reliable and secure services for healthcare. You have an eye towards quality, and insist on the highest standards. You are motivated to tackle ambiguous situations with technologies to rapidly solve problems. You are a team player, contribute to the execution of team objectives, and leverage technical knowledge and engineering best practices to rapidly deliver solutions that have a broad business impact.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　You will contribute to technical strategies, vision, and architecture

　　You will design and build software that is highly available, performant, scalable, and extensible

　　You will own the software development process end to end and be responsible for design, implementation, testing, QA and operations

　　You will build new user experiences together with the customer experience team

　　Looking for Software Development Engineers to drive design and development of services in this strategically significant domain who will work with technical leaders to refine technical direction, and then follow through with detailed analysis, designs, and high quality code. They are equally comfortable working with small, focused project teams as well as making major direct contributions to ambiguous project spaces.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

　　2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

　　Experience programming with at least one software programming language

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

　　Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
