Amazon.com’s Buying Experience team under Core Shopping is looking for a Software Development Engineer who can ensure high quality bar for our multi tiered, highly scalable applications that provide best possible online shopping and buying experience for our customers. Our team is comprised of talented developers, testers, program managers, designers and product managers tasked with singular goal to provide world's best offer experience to our customers. We are looking for a talented, detail oriented, and enthusiastic developer who is passionate about quality and is excited about the new cutting edge technology offered to consumers.

In this role, you will work on the newest platform to enable features across desktop and mobile devices. You will work with Product Development team to ensure Amazon products meet high standards of quality, performance, security and reliability. You will design, implement, and deploy software components and features. You need to ensure that your work is consistently of a high quality (e.g., secure, testable , maintainable, low-defects, efficient, etc.) and incorporates best practices. Should work independently and with your team to deliver software successfully.

Successful candidate must have a strong drive for results, obsession with quality, a team player, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced start-up like environment.

Basic Qualifications

1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
